Update Covid-19

Dear customer

As you know, the Covid pandemic has not yet been defeated and is causing further disruption to our supply chain.
Today, we, as an internationally operating producer of protective clothing, are still confronted with it,
both in Belgium and in our various foreign sales and production facilities.

We put all efforts to prevention and control to protect our employees. Nevertheless, preventive quarantines have led to capacity restrictions in our production plants, causing us loss of capacity.
Naturally, we try to limit the inconvenience or delay for you as much as possible.

In addition, we are confronted with a number of exceptional circumstances that also have an impact on our supply chain:

  • container transport has been difficult for several months, with limited availability, drastically increased prices and longer shipping times
  • raw material prices have also risen sharply and delivery times for raw materials are longer than before
  • the current situation in Myanmar also forces us to shift certain production volumes to other Sioen production plants and/or subcontractors.

All these factors affect the availability of our products. Our system-generated lead times for new and current productions may be subject to change delivery dates as a result.

We constantly monitor the situation and do everything possible to minimize the consequences.

The more you anticipate with pre-orders or forecasts, the better we will be able to serve you in the coming months.

Should you have any further specific questions, we are always at your disposal.

Kind regards
Sioen Apparel
